Ran from my house through the U., past Steiner's and into the neighborhood south of 900 South. Good run going out, but I felt like I was running through mud on the way back during the 4th mile--even a slight incline wears me out. But I was happy to note that my way home was shorter than the way out. Total time was 1:09:21. First half took me 35:15. Average pace was 9:55. On these runs, I'm noticing a lot of wasted fruit throughout the city. Apples and pears are just dropping on the ground. I did the same thing with my apricot tree the first 2 years we had our house, but this year I made jams, canned apricots for future babyfood and dried it into leather....Why isn't everybody else like me!
