Ran on 4th and 1st Avenue with neighbor Emilly, who I used to run with while I was pregnant but haven't since May. It was good to catch up with her again, and to run with a partner. She was kind enough to go as slow as I needed, which averaged 11:28 minute miles.

Hi Heather..I'm Sasha's wife Sarah. I haven't offcially welcomed you to the blog yet...Welcome!! I'm very impressed that you are putting on the distance so soon after your baby. How far into your pregnancy were you able to run? I always run fairly decent for me anyway until week 30 or so and then after that I'm really just fooling myself. My best pregnant running story is when I was running in the dead of winter pregnant with my fourth kid. I slipped on some black ice and totally biffed it. Of course being the devoted runner I am I quickly sprang back up ( I was 8 months pregnant and huge) and continued running. The funny part about it is that a neighbor saw and then reported to me that the whole school (at least in the teacher's lounge) had been talking about it...that gave me a laugh.
